CNN "Power & Persuasion" Broadcast
PMTV in the Nations Capital
PMTV was called upon by CNN’s Washington Bureau to supply mobile facilities for an important broadcast from George Washington University in Washington, DC this past October. The "Power & Persuasion" broadcast featured Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Defense Secretary Robert Gates, in a rare joint interview, with CNN's Christiane Amanpour and former CNN Washington Bureau Chief Frank Sesno hosting. Said PMTV's Account Executive Stan Leshner , "This event had unique requirements, we needed a very high quality SD Mobile unit that was under 35' in length due to the restrictive parking available at this venue in a busy part of Washington, DC. Specs for the event required 1 Studio Camera, 1 Handheld on Jib, and 3 Handheld cameras in studio configuration with long lenses and soft wheels for easy repositioning to avoid cameras appearing in cross shots". PMTV provided the HPV SD Mobile Unit for this important job because it met all the needs of CNN, including a Zodiak 32 input 3 M/E SDI Switcher, Fast Foward, Color Correctors/Framesynchs, Sony 900/950 cameras, SX VTRS, etc.
