American Veterans Musical Tribute
PMTV has had the pleasure to provide HD mobile facilities for the United States Airforce "America's Veterans Musical Tribute" concerts the past few years. The concerts were taped for air on Maryland Public Television, DVD release, as well as broadcasts on the American Forces Network for service members and their families stationed overseas.
AMERICA'S VETERANS: A MUSICAL TRIBUTE 2009 is a star-studded tribute to the Armed Forces. Recorded live at the Music Center at Strathmore, in Bethesda, Md., the special features Michael Feinstein, one of the premier interpreters of American popular song, renowned Irish tenor Ronan Tynan and blues dynamo Shemekia Copeland - all led by The United States Air Force Band and accompanied by The Singing Sergeants chorus. In addition to powerhouse performances by Feinstein, Tynan and Copeland, Academy Award-winning actor Lou Gossett, Jr. introduces short vignettes which honor five veterans representing each branch of the military.
In 2008 special quests included two-time Grammy winner Patti LaBelle, country western singer Clint Black, Academy Award-winning actor Cliff Robertson, and ukulele virtuoso Jake Shimabukuro.
PMTV provide the Eagle HD mobile unit, including Kalypso production switcher, a Kalypso 1ME sidecar switcher for separate feeds to HD IMAG projection screens in the venue, 10 Sony HDC 1500 cameras with 100x1, 86x1 and 4.7x wide angle lenses, 11 HDCam VTRS, 1 Spotbox, and the Calrec Omega Audio Console, etc. Additionally we provided multiple TELEX Rattlers for Fiber distribution to IMAG systems and HirREZ monitors in house. PMTV also provided pre-event tech manager surveys at the venue.
