Shop Channel Japan, the leading electronic retailer in Asia wanted to do a series of live television broadcasts form Italy. To facilitate their needs, they called on the expertise of PMTV to coordinate the event. PMTV arrange site surveys for J-Shop to showcase numerous locations through the country. Once the location for the event was prefered, PMTV made all of the arrangements allowing for another series of flawless broadcasts.
The location chosen was the picturesque town of Lazise in the north east part of the country near Verona. PMTV negotiated with the town’s municipality and was able to close the towns square as the home base for the broadcast, while many other locations in the town were used as backdrops for model locations. Given the remote location of Lazise, situated in the Lake Garda region, PMTV was challenged to provide all of the facilities needed. Multi camera OB van and crew, satellite SNG uplinks, generator power, production sets, props, and much more was transported to the location. Special arrangements had to be made with the local police while positioning all the heavy equipment to protect this medieval town, while perfect weather added to this success of the broadcasts.
Shop Channel has contracted PMTV on numerous events to facilitate their desires to broadcast from remote locations around the globe.
